The Raven,

I used alcohol ink and then I sanded it down.  I used some distress ink to darken it and stamped the bird cages and birds on the line from Artistic Outpost.  The Big Black Bird stamp from some Fiskars clear stamps.  I embossed the bird to make it stand out.  Had fun today once I got in my room to play.  Now it is night and I don't want to go to bed.  Darn, I wish I could play forever.  http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/

Live the Life That You Imagined

I made a oval tag just because it is part of my supplies.   I used the Tim Holtz Visual Artisty clear stamps from Stampers Anonymous.  I used 2 pieces of Tim's fragments and a bunch of different colored fibers to hand and also a key I found on my desk.  It didn't quite turn out like I wanted but it grew on me.  Hope you like it.      http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/

Fall

Fun simple card.  The hardest part was finding the crimpers.  I didn't find the one I was looking for but did find this one in my grandaughter's art stash.  I used a rust color piece of cardstock for the base and took a kraft color paper as a mat on a white piece of cardstock crimped after stamping with the background stamp from Rogue Redhead Designs Beach Baby set.  The oak leaves are from a Tim Holtz die cut using the DCWV Natural mat stack paper.  Took a piece of raffia and a maple brad.

Gal Pals

I made this ty card for the wife of a patient I have.  I am a nurse and was off for 3 months for back surgery.  They were so happy to have me come back that she gave me a bottle of lovely wine and a box of candy.  Not that I am accustomed to recieving gifts from patients but sometimes it makes them feel good and we meet friends along our way.  I thought this was appropriate d/t the nature of the present.  I also love this stamp from Art Impressions and it is so appropriate for gal pals.  The background doily was a new Spellbinders die cut I just recieved and I used the paper that wrapped the Fannie Mae candy.  The thanks alot is a Club Scrap stamp.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it and of course drinking the wine and eating the candy.      http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/2011/09/gc117-chestnut-theme-challenge-gal-pals.html

Back To School Challenge for Creative Inspiration

This card was made for the Creative Inspirations Back to School challenge.  I used a embossing folder to emboss the metal background after using alcohol blue to tint the metal background and then sanded the embossed area.  I used a Artistic Outpost stamp and painted it over with Creative Inspirations Fairy Dust. http://www.creativeinspirationspaint.blogspot.com/

Bloggers Challenge Monachromatic Blue

This card is a little bigger then usual because I didn't want to loose any of the metal background.  I used blue colors of alcohol ink on silver thin metal and then put it thru an embossing folder.  I then sanded off the embosed area.  I cut out the background silver paper with Spellbinders die and then used the Artistic Outpost stamps and cut and placed on silver paper.  I colored  the stamped  with copics and then painted them with Ivory Creative Inspirations paint.  Blue is my most favorite color.

Bookmark, any prior art exchange

The bookmark was also made for the friend that sent me the cards during my recent back surgery.  She is a good friend.  I was in a bookmark exchange and I thought a bookmark was a good thing to make for this challenge and also for her.  The plant and butterfly stamp I do not know who it is from.  I used a small piece of websters dictionary, stamped the butterfly on it, colored it with copics and then stamped on a piece of acetate and colored it with stickles.  The back of the bookmark was stamped with a ODB Sewn with Love stamp. saying.  http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/2011/08/gcsp09-once-in-blue-moon-any-prior-art.html

primary colors

This card I made for a friend who has sent me a card every week that I have been off of work for my back surgery.  I used Our Daily Bread Pincushion Tag Set to stamp.  The background is a brown kraft paper and the red is the primary color of red.  I love the saying of these friendship stamps.  http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/2011/08/gc116-color-challenge-primary-colors.html

Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I did this Bloggers Challenge literally.  I used the August Club Stamp project for ATC's and I made 9 atcs for the sections each using one of the tic tac toe squares.  I used a number of different stamps and embossing folder and dudads and such.  I was enthralled by the project and new it would be a keeper.  I just needed to make new atcs for it to hang this in my room.

Baby Wipes Embrace

This challenge is for the Gingersnap Creations Spicy Supply Challenge.  I took a baby wipe, and painted it with 2 different distress crackle paint from Ranger and then cut it out with a Sissix frame die.  The basket is from Heartfelt Creations new die.  The sunflowers were from Stamping Up and put it on a piece of vellum I found in my stash and onto dark green cardstock.  A little glitter in the center of the sunflowers and a card.  I have to say it needs something.

Friends, Tribute to Teens

This is the card I made for the Gingersnap Creations Random Redhead challenge for Tribute to Teens.  The modern day communications.  Talk to the phone.  I used a clubscrap paper for background and stamped whatever on it from a old Stamping up set and the darker green was a ordinary piece of cardstock punched the edge with a fiskars edger, used some Club Scrap ribbon. The phone and the MP3 player were from the Cricut.  The girls were cut from a Sissix die and colored with copics.  The Friends are a dudad  that came in the Just Dandy Club Scrap.   My grandaughter took dibs on this card to give to a friend.   http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/

Forever

I go searching thru blogs and find these challenges that look like fun to me.  I used a tan piece of cardstock and layered with burlap and then the brown, orange yellow and maroon were from some club stamp paper pops.  I dry embossed the strips of paper with a cuddle bug edge embossing folder set, the label was a sissix lable and the flower is a Boutique Fleur Mulberry paper from Recollections that I recieved for Christmas last year.  I distressed the lable with distress ink aged mahogany.  I think this will work for this challenge at    .http://www.twistedsketches.org/2011/08/twisted-cards-71.html

On the Road and Trains and Planes

I have hesitated with this challenge because I don't know if a kids card goes with all the other cards but I had this paper and just thought it was kids.  It was from a pack called Let's Roll.  The die cuts train was Sissix and the Winnie the Pooh was a cuddlebug die and emboss. I had fun and so I thought the card would fit in both On the Road and Trains and Planes. Hope you like it. http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/

Steampunk Clocks, Cogs and Wheels

This was fun to work on.  I used a technique from technique junkie with painting gesso over a olive green sheet of cardstock that had been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder with the gears on it.  I sanded some of gesso off and used a piece of Graphics45 Steampunk Debutante .  I sectioned out the 4 sheets using some Tim's papertape and also the saying is from him also.    The clock was a Sissizlet shape and used a stamp clock face.  Sorry I don't know who the stamp was from.  The washers were from a punch. I topped it off with a paper flower and there you have it.  This was for the Gingersnap Creations challenge Gears,Cogs and watch parts.

I have not used my House Mouse stamps in a long time and I cleaned out my kitchen cabinet and found these cute coffee bag filters and thought they would go nicely with the coffee stamp sets so I made this.  The coffee time stamp was a 1982 stamp from A Stamp in the Hand Co.
